What is the 17-0 challenge?

Draft one player per spun era until the roster is full, then a 17-game season simulates week by week. 17-0 is the perfect regular season; go 20-0 with the playoffs for the full run.

Has a real NFL team ever gone 17-0?

Once — the 1972 Miami Dolphins finished 17-0: a 14-game regular season plus three playoff wins, still the only perfect season in NFL history. Under today's 17-game schedule no team has swept the regular season. 17-0 vs 20-0, explained.

Is there a 17-0 game for other sports?

Yes — every sport has its own perfect number, and each one is its own board. Basketball's is 82-0 across the NBA regular season, baseball's is 162-0, and an unbeaten Premier League season is 38-0-0. Same idea every time: draft the all-time roster, then survive the whole schedule.

How long does a 17-0 run take?

Every player is judged against his own era — production, honors, and reputation, not just raw stats — so a 1974 corner and a 2024 corner compete on equal terms.
